Help Those Affected by Hurricane Matthew
Please pray for Haiti and CVM Haiti staff as they respond to the damage produced by Hurricane Matthew. The majority of the damage lies in southern Haiti. The bridges and roads have been washed out due to flooding which leads to limited access when providing assistance to those in need. There may continue to be surveillance flights to help assess the extent of the damage. Dr. Kelly Crowdis is in communication with various groups of responders in order to help aid them in their plans.
Money raised through CVM will be used to help with food supplies that were distributed prior to the hurricane, assist with the relief response in the first week, and also help farmers reestablish their commerce by purchasing seeds or livestock for their damaged farms.
At this time we are not in need of CVM short-term volunteers.
